What can I say...I've been DJing since 1986
when as a teen who frequented many adult and
teen nightclubs was asked if I'd like to fill in
for the DJ who could make it. I've come a long
way since then, from records and 45's all the
way to mp3s, not to mention having hair and
being skinny. My first true love oddly was
working in the restaurant industry. I studied at
the University of Houston at the Conrad Hilton.
It's my mentor and person I look up to the most
Edd
Hendee who influenced me in to a career of
owning and operating a DJ company. I married my
high school sweetheart and now have two
beautiful daughters. I have had the pleasure of
DJing for people from all walks of life and from
every part of the world. I have been flown all
over the country which doesn't happen often but
when it does you feel like a ROCK STAR. Having
done this for so long and playing witness to
just about any and all types of events I have
the experience to help you plan your event as
well. My philosophy is very simple. There is no
right or wrong way of doing things as long as my
client and I have been able to discuss the
details of the event ahead of time. By planning
things in advance it allows all parties to
thoroughly understand what it is that we are
trying to accomplish. People ask me all the time
"what sets you apart or why should we hire you"
and honestly I sometimes have a hard time
answering. My biggest attribute is being able to
read, be that of a person (bride or groom,
guests in the audience, or even a vendor) or a
particular situation. Having the ability to read
something and comprehend that situation and then
act accordingly goes a very long way in my
business. Such skills make for an excellent
Emcee and Disc Jockey. I pride myself in being
able to work with anyone and have the
understanding of being a servant at heart. You
either enjoy serving or you don't!!! So if it
takes me getting you a drink or making a plate
of food then so it shall be. Same thing
can be said about the music I play. I don't care
how cool or popular something is, if you my
client don't want it played then so be it. We
have actually done shows where the audience stop
short of booing because we only played what our
client ask us to, obviously there was a
difference in musical tastes but we did it
because that is what we were there for.
*Note: Please try and consider ALL of your
guests and their taste when it comes to music. |
